About PPets

PPets is run by Daniel Dicker, a UK-registered pharmacy technician (GPhC reg. 5033017). He’s spent 20+ years working on the counter, running medicines management as a chief pharmacy technician, and now training the next generation as an assessor and end-point assessor. The apps are what he wished existed when he started.

Where do I start?

Most people come to pharmacy from somewhere else entirely. Here is the route, in the order you would actually take it — from a free conversation, through your first qualification, to registering as a pharmacy technician. You can join at whichever step fits where you are now.

A self-paced course · New

2 If you have never worked in a UK pharmacy

Get Into Pharmacy

The starting point if you have never worked in a pharmacy in the UK. A self-paced online course built for school leavers, career changers and people about to apply for their first counter job. 10 modules, around 13 hours, at whatever pace suits you.

  • 10 modules. Roles in pharmacy, what medicines actually do, how to talk to customers, safeguarding, and Pharmacy First.
  • Two units of science — the grounding you need before a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification, taught from scratch. No science background assumed.
  • Interactive scenarios and quizzes at the end of each module, so you know what’s sticking.
  • A PPets Certificate of Completion when you finish. QR-verifiable, so an employer can check it’s real.
  • Works on any device. Pause whenever, pick up where you left off.

It comes off your course fee. Finish Get Into Pharmacy and go on to enrol with us on the Level 2 or Level 3, and we deduct what you paid for it from your course fee. So if pharmacy turns out to be for you, the course effectively costs you nothing.
