PPets Connect
Coaching and mentoring for pharmacy people who want to go further
Behind every confident pharmacy professional is usually someone who believed in them first.
PPets Connect is one-to-one coaching and mentoring for anyone whose path runs through UK pharmacy — people thinking about getting in, pharmacy staff finding their feet, assessors developing their practice, and aspiring leaders ready for the next step. The one thing you all have in common is wanting to go further, with someone who has genuinely walked the path.
That someone is me.
About me
I’m Daniel Dicker, founder of PPets (PharmProfessionals Education and Training Specialists Ltd). My career started at sixteen. I was working as a paper boy for the local pharmacy when they saw something in me and offered to put me through my Level 2. University wasn’t on the cards, but pharmacy turned out to be the better path — a profession where you can start at the counter and build something real.
From day one, I saw what a local pharmacy means to its community. It’s often the first place people turn when they’re worried, unwell, or unsure where else to go. That stuck with me.
I worked my way up fast. I trained as an accredited checking pharmacy technician, ran medicines management as a chief pharmacy technician, and then moved into the part of the work I love most: developing other people.
As an assessor, internal quality assurer, course co-ordinator, and end-point assessor, I’ve helped a huge number of people build careers through Level 2 and Level 3 pharmacy programmes. I’ve also represented the profession nationally. Through all of it, one thing stayed constant: every skill we teach a pharmacy professional ends up making a difference to a real patient, in a real community.
I know the GPhC standards and the quality assurance inside out, but I’ve also stood behind the counter, and that’s what makes the training land. PPets brings it all together: AI-powered simulations, gamified learning, e-portfolios, and smart learner tracking. No dry theory. No box-ticking. Just training that mirrors the real world — the formularies, the red flags, the difficult conversations — so your team can spot the patient who needs more than a quick answer and handle it with confidence.
Better-trained pharmacy teams mean safer advice, earlier interventions, and patients who feel genuinely looked after. That’s the impact I care about.
I came into this profession because someone saw my potential and gave it room to grow. Now I get to build training that helps pharmacy teams everywhere give their communities the care they deserve.
Why PPets Connect
I built PPets Connect because the support that changed my life shouldn’t come down to luck. Whether you’re thinking about a career in pharmacy and trying to work out where to start, finding your feet in your first pharmacy role, working towards a qualification, stepping into your first leadership position, or just trying to work out where your career goes next — the right guidance makes all the difference.
Coaching with me is practical and honest. We focus on real goals, real situations, and real progress, drawing on years of experience across community and hospital pharmacy, education, and assessment.
Where coaching takes you
A great coaching conversation is the start, not the finish. Once we’ve worked out where you want to go, the real work is building the skills and confidence to actually get there.
If formal qualifications fit into your plan, we’ll talk it through together on the call — I’ve guided countless people through Level 2 and Level 3 pharmacy programmes and can help you work out what makes sense for you. In between sessions, the PPets training apps let you practise real consultations, master red flags, and build clinical judgement at your own pace, in any browser.

FAQ
Who is PPets Connect for?
Anyone whose path runs through UK pharmacy — school leavers, college students and career changers thinking about getting into pharmacy, counter assistants finding their feet, dispensary staff working towards Level 2 or Level 3 qualifications, pharmacy technicians stepping into senior or accredited checking roles, assessors and internal quality assurers developing their practice, and pharmacy professionals moving into first leadership positions.
What can we cover in a session?
Real situations, real goals, real progress. Common ground includes:
Deciding whether pharmacy is right for you and which route fits. How to land your first pharmacy counter or dispensary role with no experience. Mapping the path from counter to dispensary to pharmacy technician and beyond. Preparing for accredited checking pharmacy technician or chief pharmacy technician roles. Building confidence as a new assessor or internal quality assurer. Navigating end-point assessment. Leading a pharmacy team for the first time. Working out where your career goes next when you feel stuck.
Is there a cost?
PPets Connect is free to book. If that ever changes I’ll tell you upfront before you book, and any session you’ve already scheduled stays free.
How long is a session and how does it work?
Sessions run over Google Meet. You pick a time through the booking widget on this page. Before we meet you fill in a short intake form so I can prepare around what you actually want to focus on. During the session you do most of the talking — I listen, ask the questions that move things forward, share what I’ve seen working in real UK pharmacy settings, and we agree on concrete next steps. After the session you receive a short written summary of what we agreed.
How is PPets Connect different from generic career coaching?
It’s run by someone who’s actually done the work — counter, dispensary, accredited checking, chief pharmacy technician, assessor, internal quality assurer, course co-ordinator and end-point assessor. Generic coaches will help you talk about goals. PPets Connect helps you turn them into a route through UK pharmacy that’s grounded in how the profession actually operates, what employers genuinely look for, and what GPhC standards and quality assurance require.
Is this regulated careers advice?
No. PPets Connect is professional peer-to-peer coaching and mentoring, not formal regulated careers guidance. It doesn’t replace the National Careers Service, your school or college careers team, or formal advice from the General Pharmaceutical Council. What it gives you is a grounded, practical view from inside the profession from someone who’s guided large numbers of learners through Level 2 and Level 3 pharmacy programmes.
What if I need to reschedule or cancel?
No problem. Use the link in your booking confirmation email to reschedule or cancel any time before the session. Late cancellations make slots harder to refill, so please give as much notice as you can.
