That someone is me.

About me

I’m Daniel Dicker, founder of PPets. I started in pharmacy at sixteen. I was a paper boy delivering to the local pharmacy when the owner asked if I’d thought about working there. I hadn’t. University wasn’t on the cards. They put me through my Level 2 and that was it.

I saw straight away what a local pharmacy means to its community. It’s where people go first when they’re worried, unwell, or don’t know where else to turn. That stuck.

I trained as an accredited checking pharmacy technician, ran medicines management as a chief pharmacy technician, and then moved into the part of the work I love most: training other people.

Accredited checking pharmacy technician Chief pharmacy technician Assessor Internal quality assurer Course co-ordinator End-point assessor

As an assessor, internal quality assurer, course co-ordinator and end-point assessor I’ve worked with hundreds of learners on Level 2 and Level 3 pharmacy programmes. I’ve represented the profession nationally. Through all of it the same thing has stayed true: every skill you teach a pharmacy professional shows up later in a real conversation with a real patient.

That’s the heart of what PPets is built on.

I know the GPhC standards and quality assurance inside out. I’ve also stood behind the counter at 4pm on a Friday. That combination is what makes PPets land. AI-powered simulations, gamified learning, e-portfolios, learner tracking. No dry theory. No box-ticking. Just training built around the formularies, the red flags, and the difficult conversations your team actually has.

Better-trained pharmacy teams mean safer advice, earlier interventions, and patients who feel genuinely looked after. That’s the impact I care about.

I came into this profession because someone saw my potential and gave it room to grow. Now I get to build training that helps pharmacy teams everywhere give their communities the care they deserve.

Why PPets Connect

I built PPets Connect because the support that changed my life shouldn’t come down to luck. Maybe you’re trying to work out whether pharmacy is for you. Maybe you’ve started a Level 2 and want to know what’s next. Maybe you’re a new assessor unsure how to handle a difficult learner. Whatever it is, the right conversation at the right time matters.

Coaching with me is practical and honest. We work on what you’re actually trying to do, not abstract goal-setting. I draw on years across community and hospital pharmacy, education and assessment.

Where coaching takes you

A good coaching call is the start, not the finish. Once we’ve worked out where you want to go, the real work is building the skills and confidence to get you there.

If formal qualifications fit into your plan we’ll talk it through on the call. I’ve worked with hundreds of learners on Level 2 and Level 3 programmes and can help you figure out what makes sense for you. Between sessions, the PPets training apps let you practise real consultations and get sharper on red flags at your own pace.

Coaching points you in the right direction. The work gets you there.

Is this regulated careers advice?

No. PPets Connect is professional peer-to-peer coaching and mentoring, not formal regulated careers guidance. It doesn’t replace the National Careers Service, your school or college careers team, or formal advice from the General Pharmaceutical Council. What it gives you is a grounded, practical view from inside the profession from someone who’s guided large numbers of learners through Level 2 and Level 3 pharmacy programmes.

What if I need to reschedule or cancel?

No problem. Use the link in your booking confirmation email to reschedule or cancel any time before the session. Late cancellations make slots harder to refill, so please give as much notice as you can.
