Who it is for
Everything in the CPD Portal is written for pharmacy assistants and pharmacy technicians, including trainees working towards Level 2 and Level 3 qualifications.
Practice cases are illustrative scenarios
Our practice cases are not reports of real cases. Each one is an illustrative scenario that brings together themes which come up again and again in published regulatory decisions and pharmacy inspection findings. The people, places and details are invented. No scenario describes a real person, pharmacy or decision.
Medicines updates
Medicines updates explain, in plain English, what official safety alerts and guidance mean for support staff and technicians. We write everything in our own words, check the facts against the official source, and link to that source so you can read it in full. Each update shows when it was last reviewed and when it is due for review.
Checked by a person
We use AI tools to help find new source material and prepare first drafts. Every article is then checked against the official sources, edited and approved by an experienced pharmacy technician and educator before it is published. Nothing is published automatically.
What this content is not
This article is for general educational purposes only. It is not legal advice, professional regulatory advice or clinical advice about an individual patient. Always follow your pharmacy's SOPs and check current official guidance and product information.
